HERMELINEN RESEARCH
The Hermelinen research Clinic opened 2004 in Luleå, Sweden. For the first six years, the clinic was a partner with the worldwide CRO organisation Quintiles and the original name was Quintiles-Hermelinen. In the fall of 2010, Hermelinen ended the partnership with Quintiles International and changed it´s name to Hermelinen Forskning (Research) AB.
The Hermelinen Research Clinic is a part of a large entity of medical units within the Hermelinen Group, including GP/Health Clinics, Specialist Clinic, Community Health Clinics, Day Surgery Unit, Dental Clinic, Physical Theraphy and Sport/Exercise Clinics in Norrbotten, northern Sweden. The base for medical expertise and patient recuitment is from these units.
In the past six years, the clinic has helped over 30 clients to conduct more than 80 clinical trials covering a broad range of therapeutic areas and types of studies including alzheimer, asthma, atrial fibrillation, chronic lower-back pain, COPD, dermatology (psoriasis, atopic dermatitis), diabetes, hypertension, migraine, nauropathic pain, obesity, osteoarhros, rheumatioid arthritis and vaccine. The total number of trials have been equally divided between phase 1, 2 and 3.
